Our family just returned from an enchanting week in La Caprareccia. The views are breathtaking! The apartments wonderful, tasteful and perfect for a small or large group. Vittoria was a gracious and attentive hostess, arranging trips, having special meals prepared for us etc. We have already booked for next summer. It was un unforgettable experience.

Torgiano, Umbria and Montagnolaare all the best kept secrets of travel in Italy. Our stay in teh middle of October was pure delight. Vittoria was a wonderful hostess and made us feellike we were part of the family. She is a wonderful cook and if you get a chance take her cooking class. La Montagnola was recommended to us by friends who have traveled the world in their business. Our first stay was part of a honeymoon trip, we now return each year, to celebrate our anniversary. Our first return trip was more of a home coming than a vacation. Vittoria and her staff provide comfortable villas with beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside. They will also shop and stock your kitchen in preparation for your arrival. Torgiano is a typical small Italian town with warm, welcoming people and excellent family run restaurants and shops. There are many well known towns, within driving distance of La Montagnola, but too many to see in one trip. If you need a larger city, Perugia, capitol of the province of Umbria, known for its world famous chocolates, is about 15 mi away. Those who need a larger city can travel to Florence for the day, 1 3/4 hours nonstop by train. At the end of the day it’s a short drive to one of the local restaurants or you can arrange to have Carmella prepare a pan of homemade lasagna and her killer tiramisu.

My 50th birthday celebration at La Montagnola with all of my closest friends was truly a wonderful experience, one I shall never forget...thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Many of us can not wait to return. There is something very special about La Montagnola to each and every one of us that were fortunate to be there. My birthday dinner in the villa was unforgetable!!
